U7-U9 CMSA Developmental Grassroots League
Players born in 2017, 2018, 2019
PROGRAM: The Development Program introduces competitive Soccer to our youngest players. The program provides two practices per week and a game session against local CMSA clubs.
Games sessions are held on Saturdays. Games are 5 v 5 format.
CMSA games will be played at various soccer centres throughout the city.
The emphasis of the Development Program is to provide a curriculum that supports young players to develop their physical literacy and confidence within soccer, that is further nurtured through a passion to play and an introduction to team play.
PROGRAM BENEFITS: Although winning is important, at EMFC, succeeding is the key motive to development. To this end players, coaches and parents all play their part, to recognize the importance of player development before game outcomes. No scores or standings are kept and our focus is to nurture an understanding of basic team play principles along with technical development.

U10-U11 CMSA Development League
Players born in 2015, 2016
PROGRAM: The program offer two (2) weekly practices where the focus is upon player development and an increased understanding of team development.
Although players are rostered in their age groups, there remains no scores or standings to be recorded. The balance of development within this age group remains on technical development but with a greater understanding of positional play and team roles.
The players will be rostered, but practice and play together throughout this program with flexible play within their specific age groups. Games are 7 v 7 format.
CMSA games will be played at various soccer centres throughout the city.
PROGRAM BENFITS: The program is preparing players for competitive soccer. This should be acknowledged, as whilst parents and players may observe the outcome of a game, it is not the barometer to development. Players will continue to practice with the support of the EMFC coaching staff, on individual physical and technical skills but a strong focus is now placed upon team understanding and interactions.

It is important that players and parents recognize that by registering for this program, they are committing to a team of players, to support each others development.
PROGRAM: The team will be led by a head coach who will be supported in developing a curriculum for the player and team development. Although the focus is now firmly on game outcome, everyone should recognize that the game outcome is largely dependent upon the coherence of the three key and supportive pillars, players, parents and team officials.
PROGRAM BENEFITS: This program has a TEAM focus and commitment. The essence of team is everyone supporting one another. Teams are placed within age ability banded competitions to support the players development.
