The program will develop a players technical functioning with a particular focus upon competing within soccer. Every session will include fun activities and games to challenge the players development.

Eastside Memorial Welcome

Eastside Memorial Welcome

EMFC recently hosted a great community initiative with Sport Calgary, the Bridge Foundation and Newcomers Sport Collective. The group hosted sporting workshops for Cricket, Rugby and Soccer, giving the youth a real sporting flavor. 40 youth attended the EMFC Development Centre to enjoy some coaching, games and activities, aimed at enhancing connections between the youth and sporting clubs in the NE Calagry communities. It is hoped that many more opportunities will be developed in the coming month's. Technical Director John Clubb enthused "it was great to see and hear the joy of youth connecting and having fun with sport. Our goal at Eastside Memorial is to ensure we connect more with our community as well as the soccer community. Sport does offer a competitive arena, but also so much more."

If you would like to get involved with EMFC as a coach then please contact John at technicaldirector@eastsidememorialfc.com

GIRL POWER!

Under 13 Dynamo girls win Gold at the Alberta Soccer Provincial Championship

GIRL POWER!

OUR GOAL-DEN GIRLS

Congratulations to EMFC Under 13 Dynamo girls and coach Kyla for a great weekend at the Alberta Soccer Provincial Championship, where the girls came home with Gold. The competition was very close throughout the weekend, with the final game going to a penalty shoot-out. Coach Kyla commented, “the girls had an amazing weekend, after four close games, they had to work hard and truly play for each other. They never gave up and won the semi-final with a last-minute goal. A special shout out goes to Amina J, the team goalie who never conceded a goal in the final penalty shoot-out.”

Now all the EMFC teams are preparing for the outdoor season, and we would like to see more girls come and join us to emulate our own golden girls. THE LIONS DEN

U17 Tier 1 Boys play against Ambrose University

THE LIONS DEN

EMFC U17 Tier one boys recently enjoyed a great opportunity to showcase their talents and passion for the game. New Technical Director, John Clubb, arranged an exhibition game with the Ambrose University men's team, who are preparing for their ACAC Provincial Play Off Weekend.

Ambrose Men's Coach, Adam Monkman, stated that "the younger players demonstrated great passion as would have been expected from an Eastside team. It was certainly a tough test for the Lions. I hope we can repeat this opportunity and build a sustainable partnership with the club and monitor some of their players as future Lions."

Also in attendance was Ryan Gyaki from Mount Royal Cougars, who will be keeping a keen eye on some prospective talent. John also supported that his goal was to provide every Eastside Memorial players with an opportunity to shine and take their game to the next level.

Great strides for the EMFC players!
